What you need to know about John Terry's wine collection
Former captain of Chelsea, the England national team and Aston Villa, John Terry is famous for his skills as a professional footballer, now turned coach, considered to be one of the greatest central defenders of his generation, as well as one of the best English and Premier League defenders ever. Known for his meticulous approach to everything he does, he is said to have taken the same precision approach to his partnership with Cordella wines.
John Terry's journey into the world of wine
Terry launched his collection of Italian wines under winemaker Fabio Cordella’s Wine of Champions label in 2022, having spent two years trialling and selecting samples from a huge range. The net result is a trio that form the John Terry 26 collection, including a white (100% Chardonnay) a Rosato (Primitivo) and a red Salice Salentino which comprises 80% Negroamaro with Malvasia Nera.
The Drinks Business wrote: "Terry told db that the process perhaps took longer than winemaker Cordella had anticipated, recounting several times that he was still requesting small changes even once they were close to what both men considered ideal."
What the reviews say about John Terry's wine collection
"This red is dark, ripe and spicy, with plenty of black and white pepper accompanying rich, slightly meaty flavours of black cherry, raspberry, chocolate and black fruits. Finishes a little bit short." - Decanter

John Terry Wine Of Champions Chardonnay
The John Terry 26 Chardonnay IGP Salento is straw yellow in colour, with green reflections displaying a delicate, pleasantly fruity bouquet. Aged in stainless steel tanks to preserve the aromatic freshness, this 100% Chardonnay is crisp, harmonious and slightly savoury in character. A great example of Chardonnay.

John Terry Wine Of Champions Salice Salentino
The Salice Salentino DOP is an intense red colour with violet reflections. Red berries are in abundance with hints of vanilla and light cocoa, from ageing in barrique and the wine pairs beautifully with roast meats and aged cheeses.
